Lots of Hugs is a family-owned group that is professionally run by a team of passionate individuals within the New Zealand early childhood education industry. Our Feilding centre welcomes children from 3 months – 5 years, and strives to provide a nurturing, loving and inspiring environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
We are purpose-built – our outdoor environment is thoughtfully planned and designed to inspire physical play and exploration. Our open-planned indoor environment ensures the centre feels more like a home.
Our philosophy

Our philosophy features positive role modelling by teachers, celebrating individuality, cultural empowerment, respect, collaboration, language and social competence, and active exploration and play.
Our curriculum
At Lots of Hugs – Feilding, we know that a well-structured educational programme within a nurturing and stimulating environment is fundamental to your child’s learning and development. We also understand that each child is unique and learns at their own pace, so our early childhood educators are skilled at allowing children to direct their learning journey through play.
Our centre
Our centre is especially designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and educationally supportive. Our physical environments are warm, inviting, and open to change, decorated with muted and peaceful colours, and provide easy access to our exceptionally large outdoor play areas.
Our babies (under 2s) and the over 2’s, both have a separate building that is purpose-built to suit their age-specific learning needs. A common kitchen serves all children fresh, healthy centre-cooked food.
